Getting Started with MarketsEasy — Complete Platform Guide

A step-by-step guide to using MarketsEasy for trading — from setting up your account to using AI trading signals, option chain analysis, and portfolio tracking.

First-time users on MarketsEasy often miss half of what the site can do. The platform stacks 12+ trading tools, 3 free financial calculators, 22 pre-built stock screens, and an AI-generated trade assistant into one browser tab — which means there is a lot to wire up on day one. This guide is the fastest path to a working setup: sign-in, dashboard, option chain, AI, screeners, calculators, and broker connect — in that order.

Step 1 — Sign In with Google (takes under 30 seconds)

MarketsEasy uses Google OAuth only. No mobile OTP, no KYC form, no credit card. Click "Continue with Google" on the login page and the whole platform is unlocked. Your watchlist, preferences, and keyword alerts sync across every device you use the same Google account on.

The Google sign-in scope is email and profile only. We do not read Gmail, Calendar, Drive, or Contacts. Account can be disconnected any time from your Google account settings.

Step 2 — Open the Market Dashboard

The market dashboard is the single-screen overview for any active Indian trader. Every morning, this is the first tab you open. It auto-refreshes during market hours and groups everything that can move Nifty in the next six hours.

What the dashboard aggregates:

  • Indian indices — Nifty 50, Sensex, BankNifty, FinNifty, with live prices and % change
  • Sector performance — IT, Pharma, Auto, Banking, Metal, FMCG sorted by day change
  • Global cues — Dow, S&P 500, NASDAQ, FTSE, Hang Seng, Nikkei
  • Commodities — Gold, Silver, Crude (live)
  • Forex — USD/INR, EUR/INR, major cross-rates
  • Crypto — BTC, ETH (as macro risk signal)
  • US Treasury yields — 10Y, 2Y, and the 10Y-2Y spread as India FII-flow signal

Step 3 — Scan News with AI Impact Scoring

Open the home page five minutes before market open. News from 14+ sources (Economic Times, LiveMint, Mint, MoneyControl, Reuters, Bloomberg, etc.) is aggregated and auto-refreshes every five minutes. Cross-check the high-impact headlines on our free AI market sentiment analysis for NSE, which runs each headline through an LLM that assigns a 1-10 impact score and a Bullish / Bearish / Neutral direction tag.

Use the AI impact score as a filter, not a decision. A 9/10 Bullish headline is worth opening the option chain to verify. A 3/10 Neutral headline is probably noise.

Step 4 — Work the Option Chain

The option chain is the core F&O workbench. Pick Nifty, BankNifty, FinNifty, or any F&O stock from the selector. You get live NSE data plus an analytics layer that NSE itself does not provide.

Everything on one screen:

  • Full strike-by-strike Call and Put data — OI, LTP, IV, volume, change in OI
  • OI Distribution Chart — visualises calls vs puts across strikes
  • IV Smile curve — spot over/under-priced strikes at a glance
  • Live PCR with a directional interpretation
  • Max Pain level highlighted against spot
  • Gamma Blast zone detection for expiry breakouts
  • Expiry-day signals that auto-flag high-probability setups

For live OI flow (which strikes are getting fresh money right now), keep the live OI change tracker for NSE open in a second tab — it updates every few seconds during market hours.

Step 5 — Generate AI Trade Setups

Our free AI trading signals for India combines everything — live OI, news sentiment, VIX, gamma zones, and price action — into specific trade recommendations. Each setup is formatted like a real desk note, not a generic watchlist.

What each AI setup contains:

  • Direction — BULLISH / BEARISH / NEUTRAL
  • Conviction — 1 to 5 stars
  • Exact instrument — e.g. "NIFTY 24500 CE expiry 24-Apr-2026"
  • 1-3 targets for partial profit-booking
  • Stop-loss — always defined, never assumed
  • Risk-reward ratio pre-computed
  • Timeframe — scalp / intraday / swing / positional

AI setups are analytical outputs, not advisory recommendations. Never trade more than 2% of capital on a single idea — especially when the AI conviction is below 4 stars.

Step 6 — Run the Stock Screeners

Three screener-class tools cover different use cases. For F&O-specific filters (OI, IV, volume, PCR), open the F&O screener. For stocks with live premium breakouts and 3%+ price moves, use the options scanner. For broader stock ideas, jump into our 22 pre-built NSE stock screens — popular ones include top gainers, stocks near 52-week high, volume shockers, and sector lists like banking, IT, and pharma.

Step 7 — Use the Free Financial Calculators

Planning does not stop at trading. Three calculators ship free with MarketsEasy, each with Indian number formatting, interactive charts, and no ads:

The calculator stack:

Step 8 — Build Your Watchlist

The star icon on the right edge of every page opens the Watchlist sidebar. Search for any NSE or BSE stock and pin it. Live prices refresh every 30 seconds during market hours. Your watchlist is tied to your Google account so it syncs automatically between phone and laptop.

Step 9 — Connect a Broker (Fully Optional)

If you want holdings, positions, and P&L visible inside MarketsEasy, the Portfolio page supports Upstox and Kotak Neo. Integration is strictly read-only — we cannot place or modify orders even if we wanted to. Disconnecting is one click from the same page.

Pro Tips You Will Probably Skip (but shouldn't)

Power-user habits:

  • Switch to dark mode from the navbar for extended trading sessions
  • Set keyword alerts to get notified when your tracked symbols appear in news
  • Open AI market analysis at 9:05 AM for a bias read before opening bell
  • Use the What-If scenario tool in the AI Trading Assistant to pressure-test ideas
  • On expiry Thursdays, jump to the Expiry Day Signals tab on the option chain
  • Before risking capital on a new strategy, validate it on the backtest tool across 6 months to 5 years of data

When You Get Stuck

The floating blue chatbot on the bottom-right knows every page on the site — ask it "where is PCR for BankNifty?" or "how does max pain work?" and it will respond with the answer plus a direct link to the relevant tool. It is tuned for Indian markets, NSE/BSE conventions, and SEBI rules. Next read: best free trading tools India 2026.
