Mutual funds let you invest in a professionally-managed, diversified portfolio without picking individual stocks. This explorer covers thousands of Indian schemes — search by fund name or AMC to see the live NAV, 1-year returns (CAGR), AUM, expense ratio and SEBI risk rating for each, then open any fund for its full holdings, sector allocation and NAV history.
When comparing funds, look beyond recent returns: the expense ratio directly reduces your gains year after year, and a Direct plan always costs less than a Regular one for the same scheme. Consistency across market cycles — visible in rolling returns on each fund page — matters more than a single strong year.
Whether you're researching the best flexi cap fund, an ELSS scheme for tax saving, or a low-cost index fund, start here and drill into the detail. Use the SIP calculator to plan contributions and the compare tool to weigh funds side by side. Informational only — not investment advice.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a mutual fund?›
A mutual fund pools money from many investors and invests it in a portfolio of stocks, bonds or other assets, managed by a professional fund manager. You own units of the fund, and their value is the Net Asset Value (NAV), which changes daily with the portfolio.
What is NAV in a mutual fund?›
NAV (Net Asset Value) is the per-unit price of a mutual fund, calculated at the end of each trading day as (total assets − liabilities) ÷ units outstanding. When you invest, you buy units at the applicable NAV; when you redeem, you sell at the prevailing NAV.
What is the difference between direct and regular plans?›
A Direct plan is bought straight from the AMC with no distributor commission, so it has a lower expense ratio and higher returns over time. A Regular plan is bought through a distributor or advisor and includes their commission in the expense ratio.
What is the expense ratio?›
The expense ratio is the annual fee the fund charges as a percentage of assets, covering management and operating costs. A lower expense ratio means more of the returns stay with you — it is one of the few costs entirely within your control when choosing a fund.
What does the risk label mean?›
SEBI's riskometer classifies each fund from Low to Very High risk based on the volatility of its holdings. Equity funds are typically High or Very High risk, debt funds lower. Match the risk level to your goals and time horizon before investing.
