Terms of Service

This is the agreement between you and MarketsEasy. We recommend reading Sections 3 and 4 with particular care, as they govern your rights in the event of a trading loss.

Last updated: 8 July 2026Effective: 8 July 2026marketseasy.dev@gmail.com
Read this first:MarketsEasy is an information and analytics platform. Nothing on this site constitutes investment, legal, or tax advice, and we are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst. Trading in equities and derivatives, particularly F&O, involves substantial risk of financial loss. Sections 3, 4, and 12 address this in detail.

01Acceptance of terms

MarketsEasy is operated at marketseasy.in. By accessing or using the Service — including visiting the site, browsing its pages, or signing in — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

In this document, "we," "us," and "our" refer to MarketsEasy and the team that operates it. "You" refers to the user of the Service. "Service" means the MarketsEasy website and all features, tools, and content made available through it.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction to use MarketsEasy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Certain F&O features assume familiarity with basic options terminology (strike, expiry, open interest, PCR). Users unfamiliar with these concepts should review the Learn section before placing trades.

03Not investment advice

MarketsEasy provides information and analytics only, not advice. Nothing displayed on the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, derivative, or other financial instrument.

Specifically:

  • We are not registered with SEBI as an Investment Adviser (RIA) under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, and we are not registered as a Research Analyst (RA) under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014.
  • AI-generated trade setups, option-chain interpretations, sentiment scores, and screening outputs are produced by automated software. They may be inaccurate, delayed, or based on stale data, and are provided solely as educational context, not personalised advice.
  • MarketsEasy does not manage your funds and has no knowledge of your risk appetite, financial situation, or other holdings. Any output resembling a recommendation (entry, target, or stop-loss) is a general template — you are solely responsible for applying your own judgement, position-sizing, and risk management.
  • Users seeking personalised advice should consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser.

04Market & trading risk

Trading involves substantial risk. Trading options in the Indian market carries heightened risk. In particular:

  • SEBI's own 2023 study found that approximately nine out of ten individual F&O traders lose money. This figure is drawn directly from SEBI's published research.
  • Options can expire worthless. Selling or writing options can produce losses many times the initial margin posted.
  • Backtests, historical signals, and paper trades do not account for real-world friction — slippage, price gaps, expiry-day gamma moves, and thin-strike illiquidity. Actual results will typically be worse than a backtest suggests.
  • Fast-moving markets and news events can cause price jumps that render stop-losses ineffective.
  • You bear full and sole responsibility for your trading decisions and any resulting losses. Do not trade F&O with funds you cannot afford to lose in full.

05Data sources & accuracy

Market data is sourced from a combination of third-party providers — principally NSE (for the option chain), Yahoo Finance, and Google Finance. News headlines are aggregated from RSS feeds of Economic Times, LiveMint, and Google News.

  • We make reasonable efforts to keep data current, but delays can occur. Yahoo quotes are typically delayed by 15 minutes or more; NSE option-chain data may lag by 30 seconds to several minutes depending on load.
  • Derived metrics — PCR, max pain, OI change, IV rank — are calculated server-side from upstream data. Bugs, rounding, or stale feeds can produce inaccurate figures.
  • Users should always verify any figure against their broker's terminal before acting on it. Your broker is the authoritative source for a tradeable price; MarketsEasy is not.

06AI-generated content

Substantial parts of the Service use large language models (Groq, Google Gemini, Cerebras, OpenRouter, NVIDIA) to summarise data or generate analysis. AI output should be treated as informal commentary — sometimes accurate, sometimes not, and never a substitute for independent judgement. In particular:

  • AI models can hallucinate — producing invented figures, misreading charts, or contradicting themselves between refreshes.
  • AI has no knowledge of your portfolio, risk tolerance, or tax situation.
  • AI can miss context that would be obvious to an experienced human trader.
  • The AI Trading Assistant, AI Suggestion feature, and ChatBot are educational tools intended as a starting point for research, not a substitute for it.

07Your account

Sign-in is provided via Google OAuth. By signing in, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for the security of the Google account used to access the Service, including using a strong password and enabling two-step verification.
  • You are responsible for all activity conducted under your account.
  • You will not share your account credentials or remain signed in on public or shared devices without signing out afterward.
  • If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, you will notify us at marketseasy.dev@gmail.com, and we will lock the account while the matter is investigated.

You may request account deletion at any time via the contact page. Deletion will be completed within 30 days.

08Acceptable use

You agree not to use MarketsEasy for any unlawful or harmful purpose, or in any manner that would impair the Service for other users. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service to facilitate market manipulation, insider trading, fraud, or any conduct that violates SEBI or exchange regulations.
  • Scrape, mass-export, mirror, or republish content, AI outputs, or database data without our prior written permission. Parties seeking a licensed data feed should contact us directly.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication mechanisms, or any technical safeguard. The AI features are provided free of charge but are not free for us to operate; please do not abuse them.
  • Deploy bots, crawlers, or headless browsers to place excessive load on the Service. Legitimate indexing bots (Googlebot, GPTBot, PerplexityBot, OAI-SearchBot) are permitted; abusive scraping is not.
  • Reverse-engineer the Service or its APIs for the purpose of building a competing product.
  • Upload malware, spam, phishing content, defamatory material, or content that infringes any third party's rights.
  • Represent an affiliation with MarketsEasy that does not exist, including unauthorised claims of association on social media.

09Intellectual property

The MarketsEasy name, logo, original blog posts, page copy, AI prompt designs, custom charts, code, and the overall product are owned by, or licensed to, MarketsEasy, and are protected under Indian copyright and trademark law.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, personal, non-commercial licence to use the Service. Sharing screenshots on social media is permitted and welcomed. Rehosting content on a competing site is not.

Market data, news headlines, and stock names or logos remain the property of their respective owners (NSE, BSE, individual publishers, listed companies).

10Feedback & user content

Any feedback, feature suggestions, bug reports, or contact-form messages you submit grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, modify, and act on that content without any obligation to compensate you. This allows us to improve the Service without negotiating individually with every contributor of an idea.

We will not publish your name or personal contact details from a feedback submission without your permission.

11Third-party links & ads

The Service links to news articles, broker websites, exchange pages, and other third-party resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, uptime, or privacy practices. A link does not constitute an endorsement.

MarketsEasy may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar networks to support the free operation of the Service. Advertisements are subject to the advertising network's own policies and are not individually curated by us. See the Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and opt-out options.

12Service availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any guarantee of uptime, error-free operation, or suitability for any particular trading style. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time; some features are experimental and may be discontinued without notice.

The Service may experience downtime due to deployments, upstream data issues (NSE or Yahoo Finance), or infrastructure problems at our hosting provider. Users should not assume a critical feature will be restored within any specific timeframe, and should rely on their broker's terminal as the authoritative source during any outage.

13Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, MarketsEasy and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation:

  • Trading losses of any kind, whether or not resulting from an AI suggestion or an on-site signal.
  • Missed trades or missed opportunities arising from a bug, downtime, or data delay.
  • Loss of data, profit, goodwill, or reputation.
  • Errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations in AI-generated content.
  • Unauthorised access to your account, provided a reasonable standard of security consistent with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules, 2011 has been maintained.

Should a court determine that some liability nonetheless applies, our total liability to you is capped at ₹1,000 or the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater. As the Service is provided free of charge, this cap will in most cases be ₹1,000.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to discontinue its use.

14Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MarketsEasy and its operators harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your trading activity, or your breach of these Terms — including, for example, a third-party claim that content you posted on the Service infringed their rights.

15Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms or suspected misuse (such as excessive scraping or abuse of the AI features). You may discontinue use of MarketsEasy at any time and may request account deletion via the contact page.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will continue to apply after your account is closed.

16Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of MarketsEasy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.

Prior to initiating litigation, users are encouraged to contact us at marketseasy.dev@gmail.com. The overwhelming majority of disputes can be resolved through direct communication.

17Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. For material changes — those that meaningfully affect your rights or obligations — we will also provide notice to signed-in users. Continued use of MarketsEasy after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
